Ok, so you’re about to go out for the evening and you have approximately 5 minutes to get ready (a regular occurrence for me – however hard I try, I rarely seem to leave myself enough time). A quick bit of jazzing up for the evening comes in the form of this is a favourite routine of mine – the one-colour, one-minute, smokey eye wonder. Precision not a prerequisite.
1. Using our December box sample Eyeko Fat Stick (here, I have chosen our exclusive bronze shade in Gilt), shade all over both eyelids, blending with your index finger to soften and smudge the colour.
2. Then, draw an extra, thicker application of colour along the lash line and buff in with a soft-bristled eyeshadow brush for added intensity and depth.
3. The real drama will come from shading underneath the lower lashes, so trace along them with the same pencil and, again, blend with a brush (I like to use a pointed brush, so the bristles don’t poke your eye).
4. For extra impact, layer on the mascara (about two-three coats should do it!) and quickly apply finishing flash of black kohl on the inner rims of the eyes.
Super quick but extra effective? Gilt-y as charged.
